Deferred premiums

Insurance premiums that are due but not yet collected by the insurer at the end of an accounting period. These premiums are typically for policies that have been issued and are in force, but the payment schedule extends beyond the reporting date. Deferred premiums are recognized as an asset on the insurer's balance sheet.
