Ergonomics

The scientific discipline concerned with designing and arranging workplaces, products, and systems to fit the people who use them. It applies knowledge of human abilities and limitations to the design of tasks, equipment, and work environments to improve safety and performance. In risk management, applying ergonomic principles reduces the risk of musculoskeletal disorders and other injuries, which lowers workers' compensation claims.
