Fire wall

A continuous, fire-rated barrier that extends from the foundation through the roof, designed to prevent the spread of fire between sections of a building. These walls are constructed of non-combustible materials and have a specified fire resistance rating, often two to four hours. They are a key factor in determining property insurance rates and occupancy classifications.
