Franchise insurance

Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-001584

A group insurance arrangement where individual policies are issued to members of a common group, such as employees of a single employer or members of an association. While each member receives an individual policy, the underwriting and administration are often handled on a group basis, potentially leading to lower premiums or more favorable terms. This differs from true group insurance, where a single master policy covers all members.
