Group life insurance

A single contract that provides life insurance coverage to a group of people, such as employees of a company or members of an association. The policy is issued to the employer or organization, which then offers coverage to its eligible members, often without requiring individual medical examinations. Coverage amounts are frequently based on a multiple of salary or a flat sum.
