Noncontributory insurance

A group insurance plan, such as for life or health coverage, where the sponsoring organization (an employer) pays the entire premium for all eligible members of the group. Employees or members do not contribute any portion of the cost for the coverage provided. Under such plans, participation is mandatory for all eligible employees to prevent adverse selection, where only high-risk individuals would choose to enroll.
