Wholesale health insurance

A plan for covering a group of individuals who are not part of a formal employer-employee group, such as members of a professional association or a labor union. The sponsoring organization collects premiums from members and remits a single payment to the insurer, but each member receives an individual policy. This arrangement differs from true group insurance, where a single master contract is issued to the employer or organization.
