Wholesale agent

An insurance professional who acts as an intermediary between an insurance carrier and a retail agent or broker, rather than directly with the insured. They possess specialized knowledge and access to markets for complex or high-risk coverages that retail agents cannot place themselves. Wholesale agents receive a commission from the insurer for the business they bring.
