Whole life insurance

A type of permanent life insurance that provides coverage for the entire lifetime of the insured, as long as premiums are paid. It features a guaranteed death benefit and a cash value component that grows over time on a tax-deferred basis. Policyholders can typically borrow against or withdraw from the cash value.
