Whole life insurance

A type of permanent life insurance that provides coverage for the entire life of the insured, as long as premiums are paid. It includes a savings component, known as cash value, which grows over time on a tax-deferred basis. Policyholders can borrow against the cash value or surrender the policy for its cash value.
