Endowment insurance

A type of life insurance policy that pays out a lump sum to the policyholder after a specified term (e.g., 10, 15, or 20 years) or upon the policyholder's death, whichever comes first. If the insured survives the term, they receive the endowment amount; if they die during the term, the death benefit is paid to beneficiaries. These policies combine a savings component with life insurance coverage.
