Endowment insurance

A type of life insurance policy that pays out a lump sum to the policyholder either upon the maturity of the policy or upon the death of the insured, whichever comes first. This policy combines elements of both life insurance and a savings plan. The maturity period can vary, often set at 10, 15, or 20 years, or upon the insured reaching a certain age.
