Pure endowment

A life insurance contract that pays a specified sum of money to the policyholder only if they survive to a predetermined future date. If the insured dies before this date, no payment is made to beneficiaries or the estate. This type of policy is distinct from traditional endowment insurance, which pays out upon survival or earlier death.
