Pure claims-made policy
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-002766
An insurance policy that covers claims reported to the insurer during the policy period, regardless of when the actual wrongful act or event occurred. This type of policy typically does not include an extended reporting period (tail coverage) for claims made after the policy expires. It contrasts with claims-made and reported policies, which require both the claim and the reporting to occur within the policy period.
