Liberalization clause

A provision in an insurance policy stating that if the insurer broadens coverage without an additional premium during the policy period, the insured automatically receives the improved coverage. This clause applies to changes made to the standard policy form. It prevents the need for policyholders to request updated terms when the insurer makes general improvements.
