Line sheet
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-002029
A table that lists, class by class, the largest amount an insurer will accept on a single risk and how much of it the insurer keeps. Under a surplus treaty, the amount above the retention is ceded to reinsurers up to the treaty's capacity. Underwriters work from it to know the largest line they may write without referring the risk upward.
