Pilot warranty

A clause in an aviation insurance policy that specifies the minimum qualifications and experience required for any person operating the insured aircraft. The policy is only in effect if the pilot in command meets these stated requirements, which include holding a specific license type, having a certain number of total flight hours, and possessing experience in the specific make and model of aircraft. Failure to comply with the warranty can void coverage for a loss.
