Unnamed pilot exclusion

A provision in an aviation insurance policy that denies coverage for losses occurring while the aircraft is being operated by a pilot not specifically listed or approved in the policy. This exclusion limits the insurer's exposure to pilots whose qualifications and experience have been assessed. It is a standard clause in many aircraft hull and liability policies.
