Canine liability exclusion

A provision in a homeowner's or renter's insurance policy that specifically denies coverage for claims arising from injuries or damages caused by a dog. This exclusion may apply to certain breeds deemed high-risk or to any dog with a history of aggressive behavior. It limits the insurer's exposure to liabilities associated with dog ownership.
