Sistership liability exclusion

A provision in product liability insurance policies that excludes coverage for the costs of withdrawing or recalling products that are merely suspected of being defective, but have not yet caused actual bodily injury or property damage. This exclusion prevents coverage for the costs associated with preventative recalls of similar, non-damaged products. It is also known as the 'recall exclusion'.
