Sinkhole collapse

A sudden, abrupt collapse of the ground into subterranean voids created by the erosion of limestone or other soluble rock formations. Many property insurance policies provide limited or no coverage for damage caused by sinkhole collapse, often requiring a specific endorsement. Florida is particularly prone to this peril.
