A classification system used in commercial auto insurance to categorize vehicles based on the typical operating distance from their primary garaging location. Insurers assign different premium rates depending on whether vehicles operate within a local, intermediate, or long-distance radius. For instance, a local radius might be under 50 miles, while long-distance exceeds 200 miles.
