Replacement ratio

The proportion of an individual's pre-retirement income that is replaced by post-retirement income sources, such as pensions, Social Security, and personal savings. It indicates how well an individual can maintain their lifestyle after leaving the workforce. A common target replacement ratio for financial planning is often between 70% and 80% of pre-retirement income.
