A detailed, documented strategy for restarting specific business functions at an alternate location after a disaster or major disruption has rendered the primary site unusable. The plan outlines the necessary personnel, data, equipment, and processes required to resume operations within a predetermined timeframe. A resumption plan is a component of a broader business continuity plan, which also covers emergency response and restoration at the original site.
