Emergency response plan

A written plan describing how an organization will respond to a crisis such as a fire, chemical release, or natural disaster, with assigned roles, communication procedures, and evacuation routes. OSHA requires an emergency action plan under 29 CFR 1910.38 wherever another standard calls for one, while plans for hazardous substance releases fall under 29 CFR 1910.120(q), the emergency response provision of the HAZWOPER standard.
