Return on equity (ROE)

A financial ratio that measures the profitability of an insurance company in relation to the equity invested by its shareholders. It indicates how much profit the company generates for each unit of shareholder equity. ROE is calculated by dividing net income by shareholder equity and is a key indicator of financial performance.
