Tort
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-003341
A civil wrong or injury that results in harm to another person or property, for which the law provides a remedy in the form of damages. This legal concept allows an injured party to seek compensation from the party responsible for the harm. Unlike a breach of contract, a tort arises from a duty imposed by law rather than an agreement between parties.
