Wage and hour indemnity coverage

A specific type of insurance, available as an endorsement to an Employment Practices Liability Insurance policy, that protects employers against claims alleging violations of wage and hour laws. These claims include allegations of unpaid overtime, misclassification of employees as exempt, off-the-clock work, and failure to pay minimum wage. This coverage is subject to a sublimit, which is a lower limit of liability than the main policy limit, and a higher retention amount.
