Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-003758
Techniques that use water or other liquid agents to suppress airborne dust and other hazardous particulates at their source, primarily in industrial and construction settings. By dampening materials during cutting, grinding, or demolition, these methods prevent harmful particles from becoming inhalable, thereby reducing worker exposure. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) mandates wet methods as a primary engineering control for crystalline silica exposure under 29 CFR 1926.1153.
