Whistleblower claim

A legal action brought by an employee or former employee who reports illegal, unethical, or improper conduct by their employer to an external authority. These claims often allege retaliation by the employer for the protected disclosure, such as wrongful termination or demotion. Employment Practices Liability (EPL) insurance policies frequently provide defense costs and indemnity for such claims.
