Collision insurance coverage

A type of automobile insurance that pays for damage to the insured's own vehicle resulting from a collision with another vehicle or object. This coverage applies regardless of who is at fault for the accident. It typically includes a deductible, which is the amount the policyholder must pay before the insurer covers the remaining costs.
