Current liability

An obligation that is expected to be settled or paid within one year or one operating cycle, whichever is longer. Examples include accounts payable, short-term loans, accrued expenses, and the current portion of long-term debt. These liabilities are reported on a company's balance sheet and indicate its short-term financial obligations.
