Emancipated minor

A person under the legal age of majority who has been granted adult legal status by a court or by operation of law, thereby becoming independent of their parents or guardians. This status typically allows the minor to enter into contracts, manage their own finances, and make independent decisions. Emancipation can occur through marriage, military service, or a court order based on self-sufficiency.
