Floating easement

An easement that grants a right of way or use over a servient estate without specifying a precise, fixed location for that right. The exact path or area of the easement is not defined in the initial grant but is determined by the reasonable needs of the dominant estate holder. The location of a floating easement must be reasonable and not unduly burden the servient estate.
