Freehold estate

An interest in real property that is characterized by indefinite duration and the right of possession. It grants the holder ownership rights for an indeterminate period, unlike a leasehold estate which is for a fixed term. The most common type is fee simple absolute, which provides the broadest possible ownership rights.
