Qualified ownership

Ownership that is not absolute but is subject to certain conditions or limitations. This type of ownership grants rights to the property but these rights can be defeated or terminated upon the occurrence or non-occurrence of a specified event. An example is a defeasible fee simple estate, which can revert to a previous owner.
