Fee simple subject to an executory limitation

A type of defeasible fee simple estate in real property that automatically terminates upon the occurrence of a specified event, with the property then passing to a third party. Unlike a fee simple determinable, the future interest is held by someone other than the grantor. This interest is known as an executory interest.
