Honesty in fact and the observance of reasonable commercial standards of fair dealing. This concept implies an absence of malice, fraud, or deceit, and a sincere intention to fulfill obligations or perform duties. Many legal doctrines, such as the bona fide purchaser rule, rely on the presence of good faith.
