Intent-to-use application

An application filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to reserve a trademark before it is actually used in commerce. This allows a party to establish priority for a mark they plan to use in the future. The applicant must demonstrate actual use of the mark within a specified period to gain full registration.
