Jury selection

The process by which attorneys and the judge question prospective jurors to determine their fitness to serve on a jury. This questioning, known as voir dire, aims to identify any biases, prejudices, or conflicts of interest that might prevent a juror from rendering a fair and impartial verdict. Jurors may be challenged for cause or through peremptory challenges.
