Multilateral treaties

International agreements or conventions signed and ratified by three or more sovereign states, establishing binding rules of conduct for the signatories. These treaties are a primary source of public international law and cover subjects such as human rights, environmental protection, trade, and disarmament. The Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties governs the formation, interpretation, and termination of such agreements, which are distinct from bilateral treaties involving only two states.
