Pedophilia

A paraphilic disorder in which an adult or older adolescent has recurrent, intense sexual urges, fantasies or behaviors involving prepubescent children, generally aged 13 or younger. Diagnosis requires the urges to persist for at least six months and the person to be at least 16 and at least five years older than the child. The disorder itself is not a crime, but sexual contact with a child is a criminal offense in every U.S. state.
