Pilferage

The theft of small quantities of goods or items of low value, particularly in a repeated or systematic way from a larger stock or supply. This form of larceny is frequently associated with employees stealing from their workplace or with theft from cargo during shipping. While individual acts involve minor amounts, the cumulative financial loss from pilferage over time can be substantial for a business.
