Cargo insurance

A type of insurance policy that protects goods and merchandise while in transit, whether by land, sea, or air. It covers financial losses due to damage, theft, or loss of cargo during transportation from the point of origin to the final destination. Policies can be tailored to cover specific risks, such as all risks or named perils, and are governed by maritime law or other commercial codes.
