Substantial performance

A legal doctrine in contract law that allows a party to recover payment under a contract even if they have not fully completed all terms. This applies when the performance is nearly complete and the remaining defects are minor and can be remedied. The non-breaching party is entitled to damages for the minor deviations from the contract terms.
