Successor trustee

An individual or entity designated to take over the management of a trust upon the death, resignation, or incapacitation of the initial trustee. This party assumes all fiduciary duties, including managing assets, distributing income, and adhering to the terms of the trust document. The appointment of a successor trustee is a standard provision in most trust agreements.
