Corporate trustee

A financial institution, such as a bank or trust company, appointed to manage assets held in a trust for the benefit of beneficiaries. Unlike individual trustees, a corporate trustee offers perpetual existence, specialized expertise in investment management, and impartiality. They are subject to strict regulatory oversight and fiduciary duties to administer the trust according to its terms.
