Summary adjudication
Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-004768
A pretrial procedure in which a court resolves one or more specific issues or causes of action in a case, rather than the entire case, because there is no genuine dispute as to any material fact regarding those issues. It is similar to summary judgment but applies to a portion of the case. This process can narrow the scope of a trial by eliminating undisputed matters.
