Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-002307
A dispute over a factual matter that is relevant to the outcome of a legal case, where the evidence is such that a reasonable jury could return a verdict for the non-moving party. The presence of such an issue typically prevents a court from granting summary judgment. Courts must view the evidence in the light most favorable to the party opposing the motion.
