Scope 3 emissions

Term · Logistics and supply chain · MLC-T-LOG-000203

Indirect greenhouse gas emissions that occur from sources not owned or controlled by the reporting organization, but are related to its value chain. These emissions encompass activities both upstream and downstream, such as purchased goods and services, business travel, employee commuting, and the end-of-life treatment of sold products. Measuring Scope 3 emissions is often the most complex category to quantify due to its broad scope.
